We must admit that all of us had those moments in life when breaking stuff sounds interesting, is fulfilling and is a great way to waste the excessive amount of energy. However, when it comes to cars, our hearts are hurting when we watch brand new vehicles being smashed on a road, even if that is just a part of a movie scene. Hollywood directors, who manage to get huge budgets for their potential blockbusters, are likely to shoot several car crashes in order for their movie to be more attractive for the public. Unfortunately, they use real cars and stunt actors to get the best shots and although that`s heartbreaking for us, at the end of the day we have the opportunity to see how we should not treat our beauties.
That is why we are going to see today the list of the top 11 movies that have destroyed the most cars. The vast majority of them are action movies and altogether they have smashed, believe it or not, 1946 vehicles. The numbers per movie are also astonishing, but let us now start from the bottom to finally see which movie is the ultimate car shredder.
#11 Ronin – 80 cars smashed
Filmed in 1986, Ronin is one of the movies that have the best car chase scenes in the world of cinematography. To shoot the 8-minute long car chase in the center of Paris, the director has employed 300 professional stunt drivers. Among them was the ex F1 driver Jean-Pierre Jarier, whose help has resulted with an epic scene that will never be forgotten. However, that also meant sacrificing a huge amount of cars, or more precisely, 80 branded vehicles were destroyed during the sequence.
